The Jones Philosophy: "It's better to know a little bit about a lot of things, than to know a lot about one thing."
This motto has been drilled into my head by my mother since I was a kid.
I didn't take her lesson to heart until I got to college and realized, not only how valuable it is to be a well-rounded individual, but how crucial it is to be able to market yourself as such.
Although I graduated from the University of Arkansas in December 2014, I am aware my time as a student is far from over... and Momma Jones knows best. I think to be a good journalist you have to make a commitment to being a lifelong learner. Without a curiosity for things unknown, what kind of journalist are you capable of being?
I have dedicated myself to becoming a great journalist by learning a little bit about a lot of things, and sharing that knowledge with others through crisp, concise news segments, and stories centered around compelling characters.
A detailed snapshot of the many places my brain has been nibbling over the years, (A.K.A my resume) can be found here.
A visual compilation of the stories I have had the privilege to tell (A.K.A my resume reel) can be found here.
